In Water (In-Situ) Net Cleaning

"*In-Situ Net Cleaning - the safe, economical and environmentally friendly in-water net cleaning system."

With individual units capable of cleaning between 1500 - 3500m2 per day, Dive Works provides an unparalleled service to remove heavy marine growth from fish nets, sea cages and predator nets below the water.

Why use In-Situ Net Cleaning?

  • Proactive cleaning of fish nets in the water significantly reduces mortality rates of fish stock.
  • Reduces the stress on the fish - during every net change fish stop feeding, thus reducing their overall weight.
  • Reduces the amount of net changes required - improving escape prevention measures by reducing fish changes.
  • Prevents predators such as jelly fish from entering the new nets which can lead to heavy fish losses.
  • Proactive - timely removal of growth on fish nets ensures optimal environment for fish to grow.
  • Optimal flow is maintained - increased oxygen flow through the nets is known to produce healthier fish.
  • Reduces operating costs associated with net handling, such as manpower, equipment, freight and drum washing expenses.
  • Convenience – nets are washed under water by our self sufficient dive boat and crew with experienced & qualified divers.
  • Extends the life of the nets – fouled net changes and drum washing are known degradation factors.
  • Can clean all types of nets – loose or tight.
