Project: Cleaning intake screeds and conducting diving inspections of the Tolosa Street Dam (17 metres) and Limekiln Valley Reservoir (26 metres), for the Tasmanian Water authority, Southern Water.
Ongoing maintenance is required for all dams and reservoirs. Here, Dive Works are cleaning the intake screeds and conducting inspections to check the condition of Southern Water's assets. A full report is provided to the client at the end of the project which assists with accurate record keeping and maintenance scheduling.
The upper and lower intake screeds were cleaned in-situ, using High Pressure Water Blasting to remove growth and debris. The dive supervisor has video link to the diver, to see everything that the diver sees. From this video footage and feedback from the diver, a report is prepared which includes a detailed assessment of the condition of the screeds, valves, pipes, retaining walls and embankment.
Watch Dive Works conduct the inspection and use High Pressure Water Blasting to clean the screeds.
